1Gas was set up by Director Richard Hearne in 2010 to increase competition in the complex and fragmented gas connections and gas meters industry. Since 1Gas’ launch 3 years ago, we have experienced strong demand for our services. In 2012 we moved to new offices in Central Brighton. We also saw new recruits to our team.

We try to do things differently out of recognising common bugbears of organising gas pipe and meter works. These include requesting gas connection quotes online, or the lack of ability, over complicated quote forms, poor communication, long call centres queues, high costs, use of jargon, poor customer service and expensive 0870 numbers to call. We like to think we offer a viable alternative to our competitors and answer some of the common problems. And our year on year growth and many testimonials seems to be testament to our success and we are doing things well.

As we have many customers, we are able to arrange discount pricing with our meter engineer contractors due to volume ordering.
