Since our inception in 2010, we have witnessed tremendous growth and the pace is only increasing. In the first quarter of 2014 (January to March) we have seen the largest increase in growth to date. Our previous best quarter was at the end of 2013, we have just beaten it in the first quarter of 2014 by a huge 49.4%! And March 2014 has been our busiest month ever, too. We’ve broken our previous monthly sales record set in January 2014 and seen an increase of 26.2%. Not only that, in March 2014, we received the most enquiries, the highest number of orders and had the biggest turnover to date. Turnover is set to more than double in 2014. Our testimonials continue to grow too. We now have nearly 150 on our website and 80+ on Trustpilot (http://www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/1gasconnections.co.uk). And exciting changes are on the way. We will soon be launching new websites, significantly increasing our marketing activity and launching a new sister company to complement 1Gas. A big thank you goes out to all our customers and suppliers who are helping to make our journey possible and so successful. We are fully committed to continuing to deliver top-notch service at very competitive prices.

We’re constantly looking for ways to build greater trust with our customers and we have put massive effort and time into customer service and obtaining customer reviews for others to read on the Internet. We now have more than 60 testimonials on Trustpilot (an independent and highly trusted review site) and Google now recognises that fact too. On some Google searches, our 5 out of 5 star rating is displayed in the form of stars against our adverts. We’re delighted with this development and we’re sure this will help customers understand more quickly that 1Gas is a good company to do business with and we genuinely try to offer a fantastic service from start to finish. The knock on effect of our high rating being more prominent is likely to be larger numbers of enquiries, more orders, and lots of additional customers singing our praises… we hope so anyway!
January 2014 was our best month for sales since we started trading 4 years ago. We’re delighted to kick off the year with such a positive result.
With a couple of days still to go, this year and quarter four have been our most successful results to date. The year of 2013 has been especially successful. Order volumes were up by 62%, enquiries increased by more than 100%, and turnover was up a huge 177% compared to the previous year, 2012. There is no sign of things slowing down any time soon.
The 1Gas team recently travelled from Brighton to Bolton’s Last Drop Village Hotel & Spa for a team building event. A guest speaker attended to discuss the successes of 2013, new ideas for 2014 and special attention was focussed on the brand values which we want as a company. They include focus on the customer, keeping things simple, helpful attitude, excellence, openness and honesty. Last month in November 2013 at 1Gas we had a stunning performance. Our enquiries, sales and turnover records were all broken significantly. We beat our sales record by a huge 30% (graph below). 2014 looks like being a fantastic year.
We’re pleased to announce Alice Quinn has joined 1Gas as a Gas Connections Consultant based in our Brighton office. Previously Alice has worked in healthcare. Recently she qualified with an upper second class honours degree in English and American Literature at the University of Kent. We hope that Alice settles in to the team well and we’re sure customers will like her very much.
